To create a wonderfully complex tasting coffee that is fresh and alive with it’s nutrients intact when it’s delivered to you which is within a few days of roasting. I want you to enjoy all of the health giving benefits and focusing energy that small batch freshly roasted artisan coffee can give.
Experts agree that coffee is rich in antioxidants. Freshly roasted beans contain some of the highest antioxidants that you can get which help to fight free radicals in the body which can cause cancer. Add to this, the all important caffeine hit that we know and love. It’s easy to see why freshly roasted coffee is a much better choice for health, focus and the wallet (versus high street chain prices).
I use single origin Ethiopian Arabica, Sidama beans which generally have a lower caffeine content (around 1.5%) to that of the more bitter flavoured (and cheaper) Robusta bean (around 2.5%) which can often be used in blends of various other coffees. I chose the Arabica bean due to it’s rounder more complex flavour which lends itself to a single origin coffee that can be easily and safely consumed throughout the day without the feeling of over caffeinating the body, something I personally dislike when drinking shop bought coffee blends.
We consume more coffee on the planet than anything else (bar water). Considering this, I feel we should choose a coffee that is alive with antioxidants, fresh and full of flavour. Old stale coffee sat on a warehouse shelf for weeks or months is not the same product as a fresh handcrafted coffee delivered within days of roasting. If you are the kind of person that only has one or maybe two coffees a day then you owe it to yourself to make those coffees amazing.
I sincerely hope you get as much pleasure from consuming your StoneHouse handcrafted coffee beans as I do roasting them for you.
Thank you for choosing to shop with us. Ben Stone.
